Why Customize?
Customizing parts often take a lot of time, effort and planning - and often involves a lot of frustration as well when the parts you spend days working on don't work as you had hoped. So with all this in mind, why bother with customization?

I'd just like to propose a few reasons that I hope will convince you to at least give it a shot.

Aftermarket parts don't always fit the bill. Sometimes, the parts offered by aftermarket companies just does not deliver the performance you want. At other times, the part you have in mind doesn't even exist in any parts catalog!
It's FUN! Making your own parts can be awfully fun! You get to see your own project from conception to completion and there is no word to describe how good it feels when it turns out just right… or better than expected! Of course there are often projects that 'bomb' or don't turn out well, but each attempt is an exciting learning experience.
Creating your very own truck. It's no doubt that a major part of this hobby is having the coolest truck on the block - and there is no better way to draw some attention by having a truck that nobody else has. By customizing parts, you get to build a machine that is not only suited to your needs, but you get a monster that you can call your very own.
It's cheaper! Come on… it's okay to admit it - sometimes we customize parts simply because purchasing aftermarket ones are too expensive to buy. In addition to all the other reasons listed, making your own parts can save money in the long run. I say 'in the long run' because there is an initial investment in buying good and reliable tools but for all the knowledge, experience and fun they provide, I'd say it's definitely worth it!

For whatever reasons you may choose to customize your own parts, it is my hope that the information contained in this section will help make your truck a better rig. If there is any particular information about customizing parts you are interested in and can't find here, you can contact me and I'll try my best to help.
