Project: TITAN 2 - Tamiya Extreme Truck (TXT-1)
Here you will find up-to-date information about my Tamiya Extreme Truck, otherwise known as the TXT-1. The links under the 'Phases' document the evolution of the truck. Click on them for more detailed info and larger pics. Similarly, you can also click on any of the items in the 'Related Info' section.

Project Brief
My Juggernaut2 project was named Titan and since the TXT-1 truck uses a very similar transmission as the Juggernaut2, I thought Titan 2 was a fitting name. If the Juggernaut 2 was impressive, this truck is off the scale! To date, I think that this is the best production monster truck out there. There have been upgrades to the transmission to make it even more bullet-proof, and the whole suspension has been upgraded to aftermarket type specs (i.e. multi-link, extended wheelbase with cantilevers). All this built into a beautifully machined duralumin chassis. While the Jugg2 looked good, it's performance suffered from a weak stock suspension setup, but the TXT-1 takes care of that and still scores high in the looks department.

Not much modifications required here for good performance. I gave the truck some impressive compliments though to match - 14-turn double motors, Super Rooster ESC, ESC cooling fan, Futaba S9402 high-torque servo, Freddy's booties and blue hardware all over - including a GPM machined motor plate and Tamiya motor heatsinks.

I'm determined to do a full detailed review on this truck, so check back soon.
